A girl named Stacey gets possessed by the demon, Polo, after being cut by a tree one morning. Polo causes Stacey to eat excessively, which makes her gain weight and become lethargic. Father Marco Cannelloni comes in to remove the demon. Hilarity in-sews.

Post Production
Filming is complete. I was pleasantly surprised that it took as long as I thought it would. A couple things starters should know, be prepared to recharge batteries numerous times. I got two batteries so we didn't have to stop filming for long periods of time.
The Canon 7d has worked amazing, it's filming capabilities are probably slightly more difficult then the average camcorder, but it's picture quality looks professional.
The cast and crew were great, everyone worked really hard on their parts. I got over an hour of film which should be pretty simple to edit.
The release date is Friday April 8th. It will be posted on YouTube for all to see.

I hope you enjoy it, keep in mind that it's my first film, try not to be too harsh.

Production
All issues have been worked out. The mic situation has been fixed, got the H4n Zoom from Vistek. It's pretty amazing and connects to the camera so we can link the tracks up easier in editing. It's also an upgradeable system, great for future productions.
There was a location issue, but that has been worked out. We needed more space to work the scenes we had in mind, so we changed the location last minute. Created a bit of a stress bug for everyone involved in production.
Rehearsed scenes with cast and found a few too many loop holes in the story. We chalked it up to being just part of my intensely comedic charm.
Filming starts Friday.
Do you know how hard it is to get people to be seriously committed to something that they don't know how to do? It's like asking a whole entire hockey team to be cheerleading extras on a show like Hellcats. Mhm, filming should be fun.

Production
Today was very productive, learned how to make a crawl screen from scratch, took me 2 hours. Then opened iMovie to find that it would have created it for me. I still feel more accomplished doing it myself.
Opening and ending credits and songs have been selected. All songs are from the 70's to make the movie authentic. I have been using various sound and video editing programs including, QuickTime, iMovie and Final Cut Express.
Pictures of various 70's characters in the movie were given to the makeup artist, in order to give her an idea of what the actors should look like in the movie.
Props list has been made and some parts have been partially assembled. Filming starts next week even though the mic situation hasn't been resolved yet.
I also took the time to experiment with the locations lighting to see what I have to look forward to when filming.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to fit it all into a 10 minute film, but I don't think that's a big issue at this point.

Script Writing/Screen Play
Script and screenplay are complete. I decided to cut a couple of unnecessary scenes due to budget and actor issues. I couldn't convince anyone to be my Superman or Rocky from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Boys and spandex, don't really understand why it's so scary. Every decent superhero wears spandex, they could learn a thing or two from comic creators like Stan Lee!
Also came up with a title for the movie, Exorcising Stacey, as well as an overall plot for the movie. Location has been selected, it's only one location so budget isn't an issue and it won't take that long to film.
New issues have arisen while getting closer to filming. I need a mic, which will cut into my budget somewhere between $200-$400. I might have to make do with built-in microphone.
And lastly all roles including acting roles have been chosen and credits will be awarded to those deserving.

Pre-Production 2
The movie elements that I picked to begin making a combined twist on include scenes or music from:
Carrie
Jaws
Star Wars
The Exorcist
A Clockwork Orange
The Godfather
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Taxi Driver
Alien
The Warriors
Annie Hall
I finished writing an outline of the elements and discussed them with my co-writers and starring actors Krystal Dawn Minarik and Jareth Clark. The script/screenplay and storyboard will be complete this week.
Starting to get pretty excited with what we have come up with and what we set out to accomplish in such a short time.

Pre-Production
I began creating and writing the story for my 10 minute film.
The biggest struggle so far is trying to create a story that fits the budget and can be done with minimal actors.
At first I was thinking of making a horror/thriller type movie, but the amount of special effects and fake blood needed to make anything I had in mind seemed unrealistic and unaffordable. So my alternative was comedy.
Most people don't find me very funny, in fact I normally don't talk very much. But I decided I was going to be risky and give it a try anyways.
So I started with the 70s, my favourite decade in movie making. I found myself trying to find inspiration from the past. Instead I found myself thinking of ways to combine comedic elements from 70s movies.
That's were it all began.
